Thomas Scully, Esq. - biography

​​Before practicing law Tom Scully worked in the entertainment industry in post-production, as an assistant / editor (member of IATSE local 700).


Mr. Scully graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles,

where he studied general litigation, law for the entertainment industry including intellectual property, and labor and employment.


Experience includes working for the legal department of Writers Guild of America, West, the personal injury firm of DeWitt, Algorri & Algorri, and doing investigations of retaliation in the workplace for the California Labor Commissioner.  He worked at West Themis Law before going out on his own to open a solo practice under the Justice Entrepreneurs Initiative.


​Mr. Scully has been on panels for California Lawyers for the Arts and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, SMARTLAW, since 2016, including: Misdemeanors, Family Law, Consumer Debt / breach-of-contract, business disputes and Employment Law, specifically Wrongful Termination.  He has brought litigation all the way through jury trial and continues to seek out interesting and worthwhile cases to try.


In 2018 Mr. Scully started an immigration law practice winning asylum for primarily Indonesian immigrants.
