If you shop around you will find that I have some of the most reasonable hourly billing rates you will find among lawyers in the same geographic area and for the same type of legal matters. This is possible because I have low overhead and do not charge extra for many miscellaneous costs.

contingent on recovery

I am willing to evaluate your case to determine if it is appropriate for a "contingency fee" - meaning that you do not have to pay anything for my work unless and until we recover money. The best kind of cases for contingency are employees in job-related lawsuits, Plaintiff's side (the injured person) in Personal Injury, and sometimes collections when you already have a judgment. The Client remains responsible for paying for expenses and costs of litigation.

FLAT RATES

Many clients like flat rates but these are not favored by new rules of the California Bar, and they sometimes result in unfair situations, if the job turns out to be either much easier or more difficult than estimated. We can only use flat rates for very specific jobs where we know how much work will be involved, or for transactions like contract drafting and contract review. Drafting new contracts from scratch with clear enforceable language is my specialty.
